my daughter recv'd a check in the mail yesterday in the amount of?

$5,541.63...from Bowlin Green Metalforming LLC....drawn on the Bank of Nova Scotia (Canada)...they requested she deposit the check into her account...and later she is to transfer the check into some other acccount....has anyone heard of this ...i know it's a scam...
